What needed solving

Buyers sourcing US manufacturers rely on fragmented directories, trade-show contacts and generic web search. A directory that wants to win that traffic needs real, crawlable landing pages for every category and state — and has to stay fast, indexable and affordable as the company count grows into the hundreds of thousands.

Our Solution

How we built it

We built category, state and subcategory pages as bounded, enumerable routes, and company profiles as on-demand ISR pages that only become indexable once approved and filled in. Search queries are canonicalized so "top 10" and "best" variants don't create duplicate pages. Manufacturers can list themselves through a free public form or an invite link, a single-operator admin panel handles approvals, and an offline Python + Playwright pipeline seeds company data with fuzzy duplicate detection. Caching and ISR intervals were tuned so the serverless Postgres database can actually scale to zero between visits.
